Accommodation, How to get there & What to bring

Bring a tent and camp on the site or stay in a dormitory. There are a limited number of beds, so priority will be given to anyone who might find it difficult to camp (i.e people with children). If you would like a bed, please let us know when you register.

How to get there

The festival will be held at the Kum Ba Yah Girl Guide Camp located on Mount Keira, Wollongong, set in tranquil bush land in a secluded escarpment location. The Camp is located on Mount Keira Road. It is a 10-15 minute drive from Wollongong train station — we can pick you up from the station if you let us know when you are arriving (see registration form).

What to bring

Tent, towel, sunscreen, pillow, sheets and/or sleeping bag, torch, toiletries.

Book Swap

We will also be holding a Book swap at the festival. So if you have shelves filled with unloved books: books you thought you might read but never did, books abandoned mid-read, or that just didn’t really love, start collecting them for the Love festival book swap.

Swap Guidelines:

– All books are welcome

– It doesn’t matter if you bring 2 items or 50.

– You can take as many books or as few as you would like. There is no token system.

– Left over books will be donated to the book swap shelves in Wollongong’s Botanic Gardens, and to charity.

  • Please note – there is limited mobile coverage at the site.
